In Singapore Christmas time is over. Everyone prepares for Lunar (Chinese) New Year. As I am trying to keep some Christmas mood and today we celebrate The Epiphany in Christian traditions, I found this as a great occasion to visit some churches in Singapore and enjoy nativity scenes. I was just curious if there are any visible Asian. However, I was slightly disappointed, as that I have not found too many models of the stable at Bethlehem, and what's more, they are all rather similar to those of Europe and do not include local elements.
The only one that stood out is nativity scene that I could see on the lawn at Anglican St. Andrew’s Catherdal. All the figures look like a huge Lego.
What is great on the Epiphany day is traditional King’s Cake. What funny, I had to move to Singapore to learn about this tradition. Better late than never!
